Welcome to the K-9 Athlete blog! I’ll be exploring the rapidly-growing sport of dock-jumping for dogs, as well as training, nutrition, injury prevention, and equipment.

  • Come practice at our facility, set up with DockDogs regulation dock, matting, pool, and Extreme Vertical equipment. It would be a little trip for you but could help you get that 15 ft. you see in practice appear in competition! We are 30 mins. south of Rockford IL on Ill. Hwy 2, just a couple miles south of Byron, IL. Contact our trainer Dave Breen (with BlackJack) at dave@rrk9sportsandrehab.com or (815) 289-5211.

  • Hey Jillian,
    Nice Blog!

We do a bit of dock jumping here at Pawsitive Vybe ( http://pawsitivevybe.com ) in Western Michigan. It’s a boatload of fun and great exercise for our wild pack of Frizbeasts.

I’m from the East side of the state, Shelby Township, originally, but don’t get over there much.

I look forward to checking out the site frequently.

Good luck! and let me know if you need anything.

    Cheers,
    Ron Watson

  • Hello,

I was wondering how you get started in the sport of dock diving. We have a 1 yr 4 mo old yellow lab who we think would LOVE the sport and we want to learn more and give it a shot. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

    Thank you!
